Job Summary:
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for our products and services. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficient management of our projects and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed estimates of time, materials, and labor for jobs and present proposals to prospects.
- Review and process contracts, submittals, and closeout documents.
- Schedule estimates with customers, ensuring convenience and timeliness.
- Source materials, issue purchase orders, and manage project budgets effectively.
- Conduct audits of installers and fabricators to compare actual hours against estimates.
- Oversee project management from initiation to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with crews and oversee job site activities as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of (4) years of commercial estimating experience with various sized projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software required.
- Must be able to read blueprints and have experience with or willingness to learn Bluebeam Revu
- Must be able to make material takeoffs, obtain quotes from suppliers, and review and confirm the accuracy of orders.
Language Skills:
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, safety rules, and procedural manuals.
- Capable of writing routine reports and effective correspondence.
- Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to customers and team members.
