Catering Event Manager

Overview:

Sage Catering is an upscale boutique catering company based in Marin County (www.sage-catering.com)

We offer high end catering services for weddings, social & corporate events in Marin, Wine Country, San Francisco & the South Bay.

We are looking for an onsite Event Manager to lead events.

The Event Manager will play a key role in creating and overseeing beautiful, seamless events and celebrations.

This position includes:

• Acting as the onsite day of, point person for our company to ensure a successful event.
• Working closely with onsite vendors, venue and clients to ensure the timeline, decor and other event details are accurately met.
• Managing a service team including servers, bartenders and kitchen staff throughout the event.
• Overseeing and assisting with all aspects of coordination from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A positive outlook with an ability to lead and instill confidence.
• A calm, confident & professional demeanor.
• A strong service background - prior experience in catering and event management required.
• Reliable transportation and an ability to travel throughout the immediate Bay Area.
• Please note that while our events are held throughout the Bay Area, we are based in Marin County and a large majority of our events happen in the North Bay. Candidates must have the ability to work in Marin & Sonoma County.
• Must be able to work a full shift - this includes weekends. (Shifts are typically 7-9 hours in the quiet season and 8-11 hours in the busy season.)
• Approximately 1-2 events per week.
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Salary: From $40.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE. (A usual shift in the busy season can range from $350 - $550 depending on hours worked).
