Join us! North Jersey environmental firm specializing in Brownfield Redevelopment with over 30 years of success in search of a Project Manager to work from our Lyndhurst, NJ office. Candidate must have5plus years of NJ environmental consulting, engineering, geology, or environmental science experience to join our team to lead New Jersey projects. This position provides opportunities for personal and professional development by joining a growing team with a diverse private sector clientele, and to gain experience in many project types and sizes in all stages of brownfield assessment, investigation, remediation, and redevelopment.
Position Qualifications
Must have proficiency and significant experience with the following:
- Proficiency with requirements of the NJDEP regulations and guidance, including a solid understanding of ARRCs, Tech Regs, ISRA, LNAPL Guidance, etc.
- Strong technical writing, including significant experience in writing reports and workplans, such as Preliminary Assessments (PA), Site Investigations (SI), Remedial Investigations (RI), Remedial Action Workplans (RAW), Remedial Action Reports (RAR), as well as developing Conceptual Site Models.
- Experience with institutional controls deed notices, Remedial Action Permit applications, CEA process. Good knowledge of capping and fill guidance and engineering controls.
- Experience and understanding of environmental aspects of construction and development projects.
- Experience with performing environmental sampling, environmental borehole logging, and implementing subsurface investigation workplans.
- Preparing proposals, tracking project budgets, and reviewing contracts.
Experience with following areas are considered a plus:
- Remediation and LNAPL mitigation design and technical expertise.
- Conducting due-diligence Preliminary Assessments/ Site Investigations and ASTM Phase I/Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
- Preparing stormwater pollution prevention plans (SPPPs), soil erosion and sediment control plans (SESCP), and ecological evaluations.
- Fundamental understanding of remediation treatability/pilot studies and design for various types of media.
- Designing soil disposal characterization sampling plans, and experience with construction waste management.
- AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS proficiency.
- New York and other out-of-state experience is a plus.

- Comfortable with logistics coordination and working with outside consultants, vendors, and service providers.
- Team-oriented, safety conscious individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- OSHA 40-hour (HAZWOPER) and/or OSHA 10 hour (Construction Safety) certifications a plus.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record with no DUI's, excessive or major violations in the last 5 years.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, or science-related fields. Masters a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of full time New Jersey environmental consulting or engineering experience.
