Job Description
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) Coastal Resiliency grant. This 24 month planning project will convene a group of experts to create a coastal flood resiliency plan for the entire City of Camden, drawing upon extensive public input. The plan will include up to ten green infrastructure and habitat restoration projects and will be used to apply for additional rounds of federal funding to carry those projects through implementation.
Qualifications
The position is meant for an organized manager who is responsible, flexible, meets deadlines, and has strong attention to detail. Ideal candidates will have a degree in planning, landscape architecture, or a related field although relevant experience may also be sufficient. We expect a background of competency in at least some of the following areas:
Project management
City/Urban planning
Environmental justice advocacy
Climate change resilience policy
Community outreach and engagement
Federal grant administration
Flood resiliency and green infrastructure
Nature based solutions
Responsibilities
Serve as CFET’s primary contact for the NFWF grant program
Oversee all aspects of the Grant Project to ensure it is moving forward according to the grant calendar
Coordinate activities, public meetings, convenings, and forums related to the NFWF project
Communicate with any subcontractors, city or government officials, and grant partners
Assist with the development and regular assessment of CFET campaigns related to the NFWF project
Coordinate the execution of work plans and strategies, including administrative support, as agreed upon by the Executive Director
Write, edit, and/or coordinate the creation of promotional, educational, training, and other materials and forms of communication appropriate to the program
Maintain records, research information, prepare reports, document grant progress, and replies to inquiries as needed
Represent CFET at stakeholder meetings with other environmental justice, flood mitigation, and climate change advocacy groups
Assist with applying to additional rounds of NFWF or other funding sources to continue coastal resilience projects
Attend weekly staff meetings
Report directly to the Executive Director
The position will be about 85% project management of the NFWF Grant Project and 15% other environmental justice program related tasks, as needed
Partial work from home is acceptable, but will require coming to the office at least a few days each week
Salary and Benefits
This position is a full-time, six month contract position, full-time pro-rated @$45,000-65,000/yr depending on experience. The contract has the option to be extended as additional rounds of NFWF funding are secured to continue coastal resilience projects. Includes up to $500/month toward health benefits.
Performance Evaluation
Continued employment is subject to a 30 day and 90 evaluation. Subsequent evaluations will take place annually.
