Summary - Assistant Project Manager - Environmental
Candidate needs to be competent in managing projects and in their knowledge of the NJDEP requirements. There will be mentorship and opportunities to grow, as well as having the tools and support to be successful, but candidate needs to be ready to support a team and execute tasks from the start of their employment. Our expectation is that this person will be able to take direction and then independently execute tasks, including the ability to delegate to junior staff and be able to guide them as needed. However, this candidate will understand that they are a part of the team and can look to others to provide support as needed.
Job Duties:
- Assist Project Managers and LSRPs with the execution of various tasks.
- Prepare proposals and generate cost estimates.
- Research technical references for inclusion in NJDEP submittals.
- Assist with the management of project financials including budget tracking and invoicing.
- Assist in the execution of work tasks including subcontractor work authorizations, scheduling of field work, and reviewing work scope with staff.
- Prepare technical reports to be reviewed by LSRP and submitted to the NJDEP.
- Analytical data management, presentation, and evaluation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor"s degree in engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science.
- Possess good understanding of NJDEP regulations in environmental investigation/remediation.
- Be familiar with the NJDEP technical guidance documents.
- Experience with submittal of NJDEP documents and understanding of administrative requirements.
- 1 to 2 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, and 3 to 5 years overall experience.
- Must possess a driver's license.
- Must have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPR training. Candidates having a current OSHA HAZWOPR training is considered to be a plus.
