Summary - Project Manager - Environmental
Candidate needs to have a proven track record of managing projects to address NJDEP requirements from the Preliminary Assessment to the Response Action Outcome, and including Remedial Action Permit management. They should be competent in managing budgets, client communications, and delegating to junior staff. This person will work directly with the LSRPs on an equal level to provide input and make sure they execute various project related tasks.
Job Duties:
- Manage multiple projects involving different clients.
- Primary point of contact for client communications.
- Lead project team with the implementation of remedial of strategy, the scope of work, and budget management for projects.
- Prepare proposals and generate cost estimates.
- Provide sounding board for LSRP as technical resource.
- Prepare, provide technical input, and/or review reports.
- Manage project financials including budget, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
- Plan and implement work tasks, as well as oversee tasks of team members, to meet project deadlines and budgets.
- Interface with NJDEP.
- Mentor, and support development of other staff to assist them with achieving success.
Requirements:
- Bachelor"s degree in engineering, Geology/Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science.
- Possess deep knowledge of NJDEP regulations in environmental investigation/remediation.
- Be familiar with the NJDEP technical guidance documents.
- Experience with submittal of NJDEP documents and understanding of administrative requirements.
- 5 to 8 years of Project Management experience, and 8 to 10 years overall experience.
- Must possess a driver's license.
- Must have completed 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPR training. Candidates having a current OSHA HAZWOPR training is considered to be a plus.
