We are seeking an Environmental Program Manager to join our well-established team of Environmental Consulting professionals for projects in the New York Metropolitan area. The Program Manager will lead in the scheduling of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports. This position will also create milestones, tasks, resources, and critical paths as well as serve to remove impediments and mitigate obstacles for team and project success. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a strong desire to learn.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and manage multiple project schedules, resources, and Construction Managers.
- Manage documentation, regulatory notifications, SOP approvals, change orders, and close out documents.
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with Construction Managers and the internal team, as well as subcontractors.
- Manage timeframes and sequence for the regulatory approvals required during design and construction.
- Manage regulatory approval deliverables in design and construction phase and identify who is responsible for delivery.
- Through the SOP, development of RACI matrix – responsibility assignment matrix or linear responsibility charts to describe the participation by various roles/participants in the environmental/regulatory approvals process.
- Include tasks, milestones or key decisions involved and identify who is responsible, accountable, consulted or informed for each item.
- Prioritize, plan, and request resources, and assign tasks for multiple client teams.
- Hold weekly Construction Manager and client meetings for open feedback and lessons learned.
- Provide weekly project updates to Director and other parties.
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Manage up to 8-12 projects at a time.
- Drive accountability/ownership among functional team members, escalating risks to management.
- Define project core team members and stakeholders and hold regular project reviews to ensure cross functional team alignment.
- Communicate project status, timing, action items, issues, and risks weekly with the project core team members, stakeholders, and Construction Managers leadership.
- Other project management roles and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering or related discipline
- 10-15 years of experience in the areas of environmental engineering and program management
- Strong writing skills are critical
- An in-depth working knowledge of Federal, State and New York City environmental regulations is required
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple projects and project deadlines
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact professionally with clients, internal departments and regulatory personnel

Annual Salary Range: $125,000 - $175,000
