Job Summary:
As an Engineering Technician at Injectech LLC, you will report on-site to the Engineering Manager within the Engineering Department. This is a cross-functional role with opportunities to work with Engineering, Production, and Quality team members. This position has multiple work locations including an ISO 8 clean room with injection molding machines, Engineering Lab, Tool Crib, and the Engineering Office.
Responsibilities/Skills (but are not limited to):
- Design, build, and test custom fixturing for injection molded components.
- Create required documentation and train team members for new/existing processes and equipment.
- Assist Engineering team with design and development projects.
- Assist Maintenance team with preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment.
- Assist with non-conformance investigation reports and risk management activities.
- Understand the injection molding process and identify product defects.
- Understand and maintain compliance with process and design control procedures.
- Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis for equipment and tooling.
- Maintain Engineering equipment, hand tools, and test/measurement instruments for ISO 13485 compliance.
- Support continuous improvement and quality activities such as procedure and process improvements, cleanliness, and organization.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a regulated environment for injection molding required
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical documents such as standard operating procedures, work instructions, quality system forms, part drawings, and mechanical, electrical, & pneumatic schematics, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot using root cause analysis methods (5-Whys is a plus)
- Ability to read, understand, and follow International Standards (ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 80369-7, etc. is a plus)
- Ability to apply risk management principles to process and product design (FMEA is a plus)
- Ability to use Injection Molding Process Development Tools (process flowcharts, value-stream mapping, etc. is a plus)
- Ability to perform Process Validation & Verification (equipment/tooling process, IQ/OQ/PQ is a plus)
- Ability to use CAD software (SolidWorks is a plus)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Proficient with data collection and analysis of data
- Proficient in metrology (vision inspection, caliper, micrometer, pressure gauging, go-no-go gauging, etc.)
- Proficient with experimental setup and functional testing test methods
- Proficient in 3D Printing (pre- & post-processing is a plus)

- Sick Time- accrues 1 hour for every 30 hours you work up to 48 hours per year.
- Paid Time Off (PTO)- accrues 6.66 hours per month for maximum of 80 hours per year. At 36 months accrual rate is 8 hours per month for maximum of 96 hours a year. Accrual rates continue to increase.
