Excellent Employee Relations Management opportunity for an experienced (5+ years) professional to join our dynamic in-office HR team! The Employee Relations Manager aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. Must have experience with progressive discipline (administering and counseling) at all phases. Provides employment-related guidance and support to management and employees. Prevent and resolve problems while assisting in creating and enforcing policies in the workplace.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Sets, measures, and administers employee performance improvement plan.
- Conducts investigations of Employee Relations issues.
- Progressive discipline and counseling at all phases.
- Deliver month end metrics on Employee Relations and employee engagement.
- New hire orientation.
- Assists with processing of terminations.
- Supervisor Coaching.
- Self-Onboarding.
- Absenteeism/Lateness Line.
- Disciplinary actions.
- Exit Communications.
- Manages Employee Relations investigations and resolutions.
- Management coaching, corrective action process and Employee Relations issues, including legal and regulatory compliance issues.
- Manages off-boarding process.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have a proven track record of effective conflict counseling and resolution.
- Experience with HRIS System
- Best Practices: process evaluations and continuous improvement
- Hands-on, roll up your sleeve approach
- Proven experience with Employee Relations compliance/policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or business or HR.
- 5+ years of Employee relations experience (Would consider experience with HR employee counseling).
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft functions.
- Strong understanding and experience managing employment issues
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong follow-through and accountability.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information in a manner that inspires confidence and trust
- High degree of initiative, independent judgment and discretion
- Maintain high level of confidentiality.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.
- At least three + years Employee Relations Management experience required. (Will consider strong applicant ready for the next step)
- SHRM-CP credential preferred.
