Essential Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day EHS support for facility.
- Ensure regulatory compliance for the sites, by ensuring any requirements of permits, reporting and policies are in place and current.
- Conduct learning teams in response to EHS events and conduct/validate accident investigations to determine root cause and proactive solutions.
- Conduct EHS audits in support of compliance assurance activities.
- Work closely with operations team to identify and address EHS issues related to site operations, equipment and site design, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate, develop, and conduct EHS trainings and materials and identify improvement opportunities.
- Assist with EHS program implementation, identify gaps and provide guidance on improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Operations leadership and hourly employees to ensure safety practices are understood and embraced.
- Participate in site EHS inspections, audits to identify EHS deficiencies and define actions to close gaps, resolve issues.
- Follow up and support to close ATS findings, employee concerns, Gensuite compliance calendar tasks.
- Initiate and participate in EHS incident investigations.
- Provide input, develop and maintain the area risk assessments.
- Support project managers to meet GE EHS requirements related to works performed by contractors at the area of responsibility.
- Subject matter expert of some EHS Framework topics, keeping the programs up to date.
- Implement / modify related environmental programs and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Modify and implement compliance tracking programs and record keeping systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Health & Safety, Environmental Services or similar degree
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in EHS with a focus in a manufacturing/industrial environment
