We’re seeking to add a Purchasing & Operations Lead in a flexible role that is well-suited to experienced office professionals who also enjoy hands-on activities.

Responsibilities will include working with Senior Leadership to provide sales operations and vendor management support, forecasting, production planning and inventory management.

Position Responsibilities:

·Manage the Sprout Product Database of available school supply product offerings. Ensure we primary and secondary suppliers have been identified for core offerings.

·Oversee vendor relationships, product sourcing, and seasonal purchasing. Perform cost analysis to negotiate with vendors, execute purchasing decisions, and meet budget targets.

·Partner with warehouse receiving and management to ensure inventory levels are accurate, shipments are on-time, and match purchase orders in NetSuite.

·Participate in daily stand-up meetings during peak operations. Serve as business lead on all sourcing, production scheduling and inventory related questions.

·Understand service details of the business for both parent customers and school partners as they relate to Operations.

·Seasonally lead important communication and decisions with parent organization leadership including marketing materials, submission deadlines, and delivery dates.

· Conduct annual audit and inventory cycle counts. Provide weekly to daily reporting during seasonal months. Participate in weekly sales-marketing-leadership meetings as needed.

·Successfully perform all tasks above and support forecasting, order production planning & management, and inventory management with the intention to grow into supply chain management role.

· Ability to independently move projects forward and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at one time, with a strong attention to detail.

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·Highly organized, with strong time and project management skills.

·Intermediate in Excel; Proficient in Word and Outlook.

Preferred Skills

·Experience in operations, supply chain, project management, sales support or other related fields.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
