Summary:
The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator will be a leader that continues promoting a culture where Safety is a core value. They will coach, mentor, facilitate, embrace, and extend the existing strong safety program. Must be the go-to safety resource for a 24/7 light manufacturing operation.
In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To:
- Provide EHS leadership and support to the manufacturing and distributions teams
- Continuously work towards improving the EHS management system.
- Establish strategies and programs to proactively identify facility EHS hazards and risks then develop plans to eliminate or control.
- Develop and deploy standard safe work practices and procedures as appropriate.
- Lead initiatives to reduce ergonomic-related injuries and illnesses.
- Conduct EHS audits; audit compliance to Keter policies and procedures and regulatory requirements; evaluate effectiveness of EHS programs and make improvements.
- Partner with Human Resources to coordinate case management.
- Correct and track EHS related audit action plans to ensure timely completion
- Collect, analyze, and respond to EHS data, reporting metrics and findings to the business.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and other functions to support plant programs and goals.
- Utilize continuous improvement tools to track and improve processes.
- Develop and use various teaching methods to train employees the value of Safety and injury prevention
Requirements:
What You Need To Succeed:
- BA/BS degree, preferably in Occupational or Environmental Health and Safety, with 2-3 years’ experience preferred.
- OSHA Authorized General Industry Trainer.
- CSP, STS, SMS, OHST, or similar, knowledge validation.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement and RCCA tools is important and desired.
