Job Overview:
The E-Commerce Optimization Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of APG’s e-commerce sites. The initial focus will be on three automotive e-commerce websites re-platformed onto Shopify along with a new 3rd party partner, Bloomreach, for content management (CMS), search & discovery, as well as a customer data platform (CDP) and marketing automation (Engagement). After successful set-up and operational proficiency of the three sites, the ECOS will train other marketing team members and then focus on set-up of new websites added to the Shopify/Bloomreach platform. This position focuses on improving the website experience and search functionality, optimizing marketing automation strategies, and leveraging data analytics to personalize the visitor experience, boost conversion rates, average order value (AOV) and Lifetime Value (LTV), create and optimize widgets/web layers to cross-sell and up-sell as well inform the storefronts on opportunities for growth and unfulfilled demand. The ultimate goal of this role is to maximize the profit per visitor of each website by leveraging the full Bloomreach product suite. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in e-commerce technology and a keen understanding of customer behavior analytics.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Website Search Optimization:- Enhance search algorithms and user interfaces on automotive e-commerce sites, specifically focusing on each site’s product assortment to improve product discoverability and user experience.
- Conduct regular audits and updates of search functionalities, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of automotive parts customers.
- Analytics and Insights for Email Campaigns:
- Provide analytical support to the marketing team, with a focus on customer engagement and retention for automotive parts e-commerce.
- Utilize data-driven insights to enhance the effectiveness of email marketing strategies, particularly in the context of performance aftermarket parts.
- A/B Testing and Performance Analysis:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and analyze A/B tests for email campaigns, specifically tailored to the automotive e-commerce sector.
- Interpret results and provide actionable feedback to optimize the impact of email communications, focusing on performance aftermarket parts.
- Technical Collaboration:
- Work closely with IT and development teams to ensure the seamless integration of e-commerce software solutions, especially Shopify and Bloomreach, for automotive e-commerce platforms.
- Oversee the set-up and operational proficiency of three initial automotive e-commerce sites on the Shopify/Bloomreach platform, and subsequently train other marketing team members.
- Marketing Automation Optimization:
- Optimize marketing automation strategies using Bloomreach’s Engagement tools to personalize the visitor experience, increase conversion rates, AOV, and LTV.
- Develop and optimize widgets/web layers for cross-selling and up-selling on the automotive e-commerce platforms.
- Data-Driven Storefront Improvement:
- Leverage analytics and Bloomreach product suite to identify opportunities for profit growth and unmet demand in the automotive parts market.
- Implement strategies to maximize profit per visitor by effectively using Bloomreach’s CMS, Search & Discovery, and CDP/Engagement capabilities.
- Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in e-commerce and digital marketing, particularly in the automotive sector.
- Regularly share knowledge and best practices with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Train other marketing team members how to use pertinent Bloomreach products after validating that CMS, Search & Discovery and CDP/Engagement are set-up and operating proficiently.
Requirements
- Essential to be proficient with Bloomreach’s full suite of products and services.
- Experience and or knowledge of website platforms (Shopify, BigCommerce, etc.)
- Experience and or knowledge of Google’s product suite (GA4, AdWords, Google Search Console, etc.)
