Your Impact:
As a Transport Dispatcher at Beck, your role is pivotal in orchestrating efficient and timely product deliveries. Bring your optimization skills to the forefront as you work closely with the Transport Manager to develop and execute daily delivery schedules and routes.
Dispatch Operations:

• Strategic Planning: Work collaboratively with the Transport Manager to optimize daily delivery schedules and routes for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Precision Routing: Ensure proper routing and dispatch of drivers and equipment, promptly addressing supply disruptions and maintaining contract obligations.
• Proactive Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with drivers to address day-to-day issues affecting efficiency and utilization.
• Interdepartmental Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely deliveries and resolve logistical challenges efficiently.
• Customer Interaction: Utilize various communication channels to provide customers with delivery status updates and accurate time estimates.
• Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to customer requests regarding delivery information and complaints, providing clear instructions to resolve issues.
• Procedure Adherence: Follow defined Beck Suppliers dispatch and scheduling procedures, suggesting improvements when necessary.

• Positive Relationships: Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with assigned drivers.
• Safety Advocacy: Actively instruct and counsel drivers on DOT safety requirements and Beck safety policies and procedures.
• Equipment Communication: Regularly communicate with drivers regarding equipment issues, ensuring a smooth operation.

• Initiative: Take the initiative to maintain and enhance dispatching and people-management skills.
• Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, promoting adherence throughout the team.
• Professional Relationships: Maintain professional, cooperative relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.
• Flexibility: Be willing to take on other duties as assigned.

• Transport Expertise: 2 years of transport or dispatch experience with knowledge of delivery routes and routing.
• Logistical Mastery: Ability to handle complex logistical requirements for multiple product lines across broad geographical regions.
• Tech-Savvy: Computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel. Experience with transportation-based software is a plus.
• Customer Focus: Willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done, providing high-level customer service both internally and externally.
