Dispatch Manager - 2Nd Shift

Job Summary:

Monitor fleet performance and adherence to external customer and vendor requirements/agreements. Identify and address operational problems within routes and fleet utilization.

Communicate effectively with management, customers and vendors to ensure on time performance.

Documentation of service issues.

Follow standard operating procedures and related processes to ensure data accuracy and accountability throughout all systems.

Assist driver fleet and management to ensure customer satisfaction.

*This position requires a daily physical presence at our offices in Mentor, OH and or a customer location in the Cleveland area.

Starting wage $18.50 - $28.00 per hour based on skills and experience. Currently offering generous signing bonus.

Job Requirements:

· Attention to detail

· Professional demeanor

· Must have prior dispatch and customer service experience (preferably express delivery or expedite shipping)

· All applicants must be over 21 years of age

· Must thrive in fast paced, high stress environment

· Thorough knowledge of Cleveland and Northeast Ohio

· Above average computer skills (MS Windows based software including Outlook/Excel)

· Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette

· Must be available and willing to work weekends and overtime as needed

· Background check

· Drug screen

Required Experience:

· Previous experience in dispatching or transportation planning preferred

· Familiarity with freight, shipping and distribution processes

· Proficiency in using transportation management systems and other relevant software

· Strong analytical skills to assess data and make informed decisions

· Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to interact with drivers and customers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.00 per week
