Description

We are a truckload carrier based in Laredo, TX seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Toledo terminal office team. As an important part of our operations, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating office and dispatch functions, ensuring smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will be responsible for handling a variety of administrative tasks, including incoming and outgoing communication, arranging schedules, coordinating drivers, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to our customers. You will need excellent communication skills, as you will be in contact with our drivers, customers, and corporate office personnel. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks are essential qualities.

Responsibilities

· Coordinate and schedule of drivers to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries, mainly for our customers in Canada.

· Monitor customs broker clearance, drivers, and loads, including tracking and updating progress in our McLeod dispatch system.

· Accurately enter and maintain data in our system, ensuring all information is up-to-date.

· Communicate with drivers and customers to provide status updates and address any issues that may arise.

· Handle incoming calls and emails, providing assistance and resolving inquiries promptly.

Minimum requirements

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Basic Microsoft office experience. Outlook, Word, Excel.

· Organizational and time management skills.

· Excellent verbal and written (email) communication abilities.

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.

· Attention to detail, numbers, data entry, etc.

· Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle occasional difficult situations when they arise.

· Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Beneficial

· Experience in a similar role within the transportation industry.

· Experience with dispatch software. (Mcleod)

· Spanish-speaking.

· Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.

· CDL A valid driver's license.

· Forklift experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
