Job DescriptionDirector, Digital Capability Lead (DCL), Analytics & Insights, US MedicalAbout the role:

Join Takeda as a Director, Digital Capability Lead (DCL), Analytics & Insights, in the US Medical team, where you will establish and manage the strategy, execution, and evolution ofUS Medical’s ‘Analytics & Insights’ systems and processes that are essential to data-driven decision-making. As part of the US Medical Team, you will report to Senior Director, Medical Digital Engagement and work alongside other verticals and omnichannel engagement leads balancing US Medical ecosystem priorities and stakeholder input.

How you will contribute:

Ownership of Current Capabilities & Needs Mapping

  • Understand systems and resultant data, metrics, and KPIs within the US medical omnichannel ecosystem that can be leveraged to inform medical strategy and HCP engagement.

  • Develop a framework that clearly articulates the path from data bricks to metrics through to actions that can drive effective US HCP scientific engagement. This includes creating a definition of an insight and an ensuing framework that supports high-science engagements throughout our ecosystem and a feedback loop.

  • Identify gaps in the framework and develop an analytics and insights roadmap to continue to evolve the capabilities within US Medical.

  • Evaluate and evolve US Medical’s data lake, data connectors, and cleanliness aligned with Takeda’s and industry best practices.

  • Develop a consistent, accessible, and user-friendly data visualization portal, aligned with Takeda’s standard and communication framework to enable access to insights.

  • Orchestrate the analytics and insights experience across all US HCP engagement systems, as well as engage/consult with different stakeholders. To this end, the Dir, DCL will work to understand what is needed/required, what is feasible, and how omnichannel engagement leads, etc. can provide support.

Cross-functional Collaboration / Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and omnichannel engagement leads to understand the existing capabilities of current systems and vendors, including current data, metrics, and insights tracked and utilized by the team. Key stakeholders include MSLs, Med Comms, Pubs, Medical Information, and Strategy/Operations.

  • Key omnichannel engagement leads or other subject matter experts include CRM/CLM, Workfront Admin, Admin/Librarian, Web Admin/Takeda ID, and Insights Analysts. Work with MSL/HCP Experience DCL to understand how best to share insights with MSLs/the field team, what insights MSLs/the field team require, and keep a pulse on the evolving needs of MSLs/the field team as resources and capabilities progress over time.

  • Support the Digital Engagement & Insights team in encouraging actions that are measurable and generate valuable insights.

  • Communicate with differing stakeholders across the Digital Engagement & Insights Team to effectively understand the broader content and digital engagement landscape.

  • Meet with, share, and implement best practices with parallel roles within the Medical Digital Engagement & Insights team.

  • Translate information coming from a variety of disparate sources to develop necessary insights, connections, and efficiencies. Understand which insights the team can generate, and the business needs to make sure they are aligned.

  • Operate in a matrixed environment and coordinate across functions, leading through influence.

Planning and Alignment

  • Oversee activities related to the implementation of data, modeling, and analytical plans.

  • Oversee the integration and classification of data from diverse sources, including engagement interaction data, clinical trials, electronic health records, insurance claims, patient registries, medical devices, etc.

  • Identify new/emerging opportunities and develop the business cases for investment.

  • Lead the documentation of existing and newly developed processes through the creation of playbooks and business requirements documents.

  • Develop and maintain a 2-3-year roadmap for engagement-related analytics and insights.

Career Development

  • As a line manager, oversee and evaluate employee contribution, performance, and development.

Internal Representation

  • Provide periodical updates to various teams, as well as provide visibility and clarity about status and ways forward.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in data management and governance and/or Commercial Sales Operations/Analytics experience with demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and explain systems and approaches for customer data and product data to enable business decisions.

  • 5+ years’ experience working in digital marketing operations, or marketing technology-related functions, with 3+ years of healthcare professional, leadership, and/or data-backed insight strategy experience.

  • Extensive experience with database querying (SQL), manipulating and analyzing large, high dimensional, structured and unstructured datasets

  • In-depth understanding and experience in utilizing the data/software development life-cycle management processes.

  • 2+ years’ experience working with cloud-computing technologies (e.g., Veeva, Adobe, AWS, Azure).

  • Comprehensive knowledge of ETL processes and digital platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Matomo, and Google Marketing Platform.

  • Comprehensive Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM), data governance, and data quality business processes, solutions, and methodologies.

  • Experience leading data science projects through the data, analytics and machine learning lifecycle.

  • Excellent communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills

  • Strong planning and organization skills, attention to detail, execution, and follow-through.

  • Content process/approval experience.

Preferred:

  • Advanced Degree in any of the following fields: technical or analytical fields such as data science, statistics, operations research, industrial engineering, computer science, economics, math, etc.

  • Experience acting as a liaison with DD&T on data projects.

  • Experience with 3rd party pharmaceutical data like IQVIA (IMS Health) Sales Data (DDD, Xponent, NSP, NPA), Affiliation (HCOS), APLD (Medical Claims), and Specialty pharmacy data.

  • Experience with data analytics, digital dashboards, statistics, CPV etc.

  • Expertise with programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia etc.) and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).

  • Experience working with data from any of the following sources and types: RWD, digital devices, imaging, audio, and/or operational data (finance, manufacturing, supply chain).

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)® or similar certification is preferred.

U.S. Base Salary Range:

$169,400.00 - $266,200.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-termincentives. U.S.based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
