The Director of Digital Health is responsible for building and maintaining EBNHC’s digital front door and Digital Health services, aimed at engaging patients in their health outside of our brick and mortar including but not limited to, patient portal, telehealth, patient engagement through texting and remote patient monitoring. Director works closely with a variety of stakeholders, including close partners and/or dyads in Information Technology, Marketing, Patient Access, Patient Accounts,Office of Patient Experience and Physician Informatics.
The Director of Digital Health serves as the programmatic and operational leader for Digital Health and is responsible to the COO and CMO.
Duties:
- Evaluates functionality of patient facing technologies and provides direction for feature/function implementation.
- Provides an experience and environment of patient- and family-centered care.
- Drive the mapping and gap assessment of the patient journey to inform the product roadmap, working proactively to integrate new technology and processes when necessary to drive the business or patient experience forward
- Stay up to date on the virtual/digital care landscape including competitive products, shifting legal and compliance issues and partner with clinical leadership on changes in standards of care and clinical guidelines
- Prepares and delivers reports to operational leadership outlining progress toward meeting annual goals and objectives, to include performance related to finance, clinical activity, quality, safety, marketing, and human resources.
- Engages staff and other stakeholders in continuous improvement of systems and processes; manages resources for staff participation in improvement work activities.
- Ensures development of Digital Health initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and family centered care.
- Develops and implements clinical outcome measures for quality improvement, cost and complication reduction, and the implementation of evidence-based medicine.
- Creates bi-directional systems that effectively communicate information and data, utilizing multiple methods.
- Articulates and presents data, information and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrates empathy and concern while ensuring Digital Health goals are met.
- Manages the complex interdepartmental and interdisciplinary relationships to assure collaboration and effective/efficient operations within Digital Health.
- Creates an environment that encourages diverse opinion, recognizes differences and incorporates into process and services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Nursing or other relevant field
- Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Nursing or other relevant field.
- Five years of relevant experience, including three (3) years of management experience in, innovation, Digital Health services, information technology, patient engagement, healthcare operations or other relevant field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to include the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts and build teams.
- Demonstrated innovative approach to problem resolution.
- Ability to work collaboratively across EBNHC’s departments and business lines.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient- and family centered care.
- Effective analytical ability in order to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues.
- Demonstrated effective managerial and administrative leadership of clinical operations
- Effective organizational, planning and project management abilities. Experience in financial and programmatic presentations.
