Humanscale is seeking an innovative leader for the Product Marketing team, serving as a senior Product Marketing expert within the Global Marketing department. This role involves guiding a team across global HQ and local markets, responsible for diverse categories such as seating, ancillary furniture, monitor arms & technology products, desks, lighting, and ergonomics accessories.

 

This role leads the strategic planning and tactical implementation of integrated marketing initiatives, with a primary focus on product launches, enhancements, phase-outs, and price updates across various channels. As the main cross-functional point of contact, the Director of Product Marketing collaborates with stakeholder departments such as Product Management, Design Studio, Operations, and Sales Channel Leadership within the Global Marketing team.


  • Leads strategic development and manages the execution of global product launches and go-to-market campaigns
  • Partners with Brand Creative and Digital Marketing teams on strategic project briefs, generating demand and mindshare across diverse customer segments including contract A&D, high-end residential designer trade, IT managers, end consumers, contract furniture dealerships, facilities managers, and SMB
  • Establishes clear purpose, roles, structure, budgets, KPIs, and processes to create a cohesive, efficient, and effective global Product Marketing approach
  • Manages execution of integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple sales channels and marketing platforms – website, social, CRM, PR, showrooms, pop-ups, and other experiential events globally
  • Drives cross-functional strategic alignment, ensuring that channel teams execute the robust marketing and readiness strategy successfully and flawlessly. Implements processes to reduce friction and increase efficiencies between teams
  • Manages team workload and project assignments across category initiatives, product launches, and product lifecycle projects
  • Accountable for the development and ongoing management of launch budgets, optimizing for return on investment and nurturing brand health
  • Leads start-to-finish marketing collateral development for large, complex initiatives. This includes product naming, messaging, positioning, creative briefs, etc.
  • Ensures individual product and category campaigns align with the overall brand strategy and corporate initiatives, uncovering connections within active work to strengthen go-to-market strategies
  • Collaborates with Humanscale Marketing Brand Creative and Digital Services team on the development of compelling storytelling to feed the brand content calendar and content drip, including scoping photo, video, rendering, animation, copywriting, and editorial needs
  • Responsible for maintaining, nurturing, and evolving all official product messaging, USPs, as well as assets so that they retain maximum resonance and freshness
  • Owns the new global PIM platform with support from the PIM Manager
  • Provide a clear and inspiring vision for the Product Marketing team, aligning their efforts with organizational goals and fostering a sense of purpose and a collaborative, inclusive team culture. Offer mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering their professional development and growth. Identify and nurture talent within the team
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives

  • 8-10  years professional experience in product or brand Marketing with global experience in B2B and B2C segments, preferably in a matrixed environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent experience
  • MBA or Master’s a plus
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams through strong leadership, coaching and mentoring abilities
  • Strong creative mindset balanced with business acumen
  • Thinks and plans big picture but executes with an eye for detail and creative excellence across all touchpoints
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, solve problems, and work with all levels in the organization, including executive leadership
  • Advocates for all Humanscale product categories while recognizing rapidly shifting revenue, margin, resource constraints, and shifting market conditions
  • Thinks brand-first, balanced with keen category foresight and willingness to embrace complex global product launches with empathy towards unique regional challenges  
  • Excels at driving forward large, matrixed teams with leadership, diplomacy, and action-orientation
  • Capable of working on multiple workstreams and managing across multiple, matrixed departments, leadership levels and geography with influence
  • Proven experience working with Adobe Creative Cloud including In Design and Acrobat Pro, MS Office Suite with and emphasis on Excel and Powerpoint skills is required; Experience with Figma, Sales Layer PIM, and Shopify experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical and creative ability to translate complex development ideas and technical input into resonant customer-facing content
  • In-depth holistic understanding of creative production and product commercialization
  • Must have strong competencies in planning skills, project management, planning, resource allocation, and budgeting
  • Capable of managing multiple global and regional product launches across matrixed departments, leadership levels, distribution channels, and geography with influence
  • Strong emotional intelligence with a history of closely collaborating with team members from a wide range diverse of cultures and geographies
  • Demonstrated high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures and processes in a logical sequence; at a level appropriate to the audience and resulting in effective working relationships
  • Displays both analytical and creative ability to translate complex product concepts into resonant customer-facing content
  • Highly organized with strong project and time management skills
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Salary Range: $117,492 - $171,375
