Job Title: Director, Media Operations & Partnerships

Division: Luxury Products Division

Location: New York, NY – Hudson Yards HQ

Reports To: Vice President, Media – Luxe CDMO

What You Will Do:

The Director Media Operations is responsible for ensuring operational excellence between BCL (media agency), the brand marketing, media and creative teams, and the CDMO (Chief Digital and Marketing Officer) team. This individual must be a strong project manager with expertise in designing ways of working across a global, matrixed organization.


This leader must possess an understanding of media analytics (media mix models, search, social, and/or programmatic expertise preferred) and the ability to synthesize and communicate information to different levels of stakeholders across the organization. Lastly, this individual will also work closely with owned media and advocacy & influence partners to spearhead the collection of market level trends, key competitor activations, and competitive insights.


Job Duties and Accountabilities

  • Passion for media strategy, working knowledge of all media channels and the ability to recognize and deliver on market trends and dynamic marketplace conditions
  • A track record of operational excellence- experience managing budgets and the ability to deliver finance roll ups, ensure proper delivery and use of Contacts, monthly budget reporting and other finance tracking tools
  • Strong communication skills to help drive strategic excellence across division, brand (media + creative) communities, external agencies and internal stakeholders that deliver measurable business results
  • Ability to partner with VP Media, brand and agency/ activation partners to develop investment guidelines, brainstorm test, and learn opportunities/ cross divisional innovation opportunities
  • Skill in upskill & educating stakeholders in the ways of working with a focus on Simplicity and consistency across 15 brands as well fundamentals of media strategy and planning
  • Interpersonal savvy especially when dealing with internal stakeholders and external media partners to upskill and educate team(s)
  • Work cross functionally and create clarity within an emerging capability that touches multiple teams
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office expertise


Key Challenges, Complexity and Opportunities

This role will require a balance of strategic thinking, communication skills and operational management rigor as it will require a demonstrated ability to both drive adoption of strategic guidelines and deliver on the operational needs of the business with internal brand & external agency partners- providing leadership the visibility needed to drive business decisions.


While the role does not have any direct reports they will be instrumental in leading the agency (Beauty Co-Lab) on delivering on their pitch promise of a strategic business partnership, full funnel planning and operational/ financial accountability.


It requires constant interaction within a matrixed business structure (Agency, Marketing, Media, CDMO org) to coordinate work and deliver measurable impact on the business. The ideal candidate will actively builds networks and becomes an in-house expert on all things media to support the vision for Luxe.

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5-7+ years' experience with a media agency or media-focused role
  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing based on business need and estimated impact.
  • Experience writing RFP’s/ briefing agency partners
  • Effectively communicate (both verbally and written) with multiple groups, including presentations
  • Ability to effectively present to and persuade an individual or group or people.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, results and solution oriented, strategic thinker
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
