Job Description
The Director of People First is the head of the In Time Tec People and HR function. This position owns maintenance and enhancements of HR structure and processes and partners with leaders to maintain a high performing and engaged workforce. Drives initiatives around recruitment, engagement, performance, and retention and partners closely with leadership team to ensure our HR vision aligns to overall company vision.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new staff in department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of HR Generalist.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations and feedback to staff in department.
- Oversees workflow and administrative function with PEO partners.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the company’s HR compliance and people strategy needs.
- Administers or oversees the administration of People programs including:
- Oversee benefit and compensation programs and planning to ensure employee satisfaction and cost efficiencies.
- Collaborates with leaders to identify staffing and recruiting needs; developing and executing best practices for hiring and talent management.
- Leads performance process, including annual performance evaluations, career development and manager training.
- Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least five years of Human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
