Job description

The Senior HR Director for Boise Cascade is a new leadership role with responsibility for our four Corporate HR Centers of Expertise (COE). Responsibilities include oversight of all HR processes, programs, procedures and policies for Total Rewards, Talent and Organizational Effectiveness, HR Services, and HR Technology teams for the purpose of attracting, recruiting. developing, compensating, and retaining associates. In this position you will report to the SVP of Human Resources and work closely with our DEI and Communication teams, as well as our Business HR Directors, and Legal and Compliance partners.

Role description
As our Sr. HR Director, you will develop strategies to ensure everyone in our Company can achieve their potential and our teams achieve our business goals while leading with our Values of integrity, safety, respect, and pursuit of excellence.
You will oversee all COE responsibilities, including executive compensation, comp/benefit management, payroll, customer service, HR technology, learning and talent development programs, as well as data privacy, audit controls and compliance. You will analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs and policies and build strong connections with our leaders to ensure our HR COE teams are effective and aligned with our business strategies.
These responsibilities require close collaboration and communication with the entire Senior Leadership team and occasionally with the Board of Directors.
Knowledge and skills
• Executive-level presence with an ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with senior leaders
• Ability to use organizational development and change management strategies and tools to enhance engagement and build culture
• Ability to effectively delegate, coach and develop others
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to coach, influence, and partner with diverse client groups while establishing credibility and trust
• Proficient with HR Department applications, tools, or related software.
• Extensive experience working with internal controls and compliance
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, diversity, equity and inclusion, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
Education and experience
• 10+ years of progressive business leadership experience with 3+ years of HR business partnership, engaging at the Executive level.
• Experience with driving and championing inclusion and diversity initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master's degree preferred
