Job Summary:
The Director of Development will lead the agency’s fundraising and resource development efforts by building and maintaining partnerships, donor relationships, and executing on a strategic fundraising plan.
What you will do:
- LMA
- Conduct and attend outreach meetings/events with nonprofits, for profit businesses, individuals, and service clubs.
- Maintain long-term relationships with existing agency supporters.
- Identify and build relationships with new and prospective donors.
- Attend meetings, seminars, and networking/outreach events on behalf of FOF
- Solicit major gifts and planned giving opportunities.
- Lead the Circle of Friends annual fund drive.
- Develop and implement annual fundraising plan. Including strategies and goals related to securing both immediate and long-term support. Deliver on Development Core Process
- Generate new ideas that increase revenue and donor loyalty
- Work with team to ensure the agency has healthy brand representation.
- Work with Development team on marketing strategies related to programming.
- Active member of leadership team participates in developing program planning and operational budgets.

Job Qualifications and Competencies
- Must demonstrate ability to organize, prioritize and plan work to meet deadlines.
- Ensure confidentiality is in place for all people FOF serves.
- Bachelor Degree in marketing, sales, business OR combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Previous experience in the following preferred: victim services, fundraising and public speaking.
- Ability to travel throughout the FOF service area to provide in-person outreach services and to other locations within the state as necessary for training purposes.
- Ability to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks.
