The Director Human Resources for the Water Infrastructure Business serves as a key member of the business leadership team and is responsible for the management and oversight of all HR functions for this $500M Business Unit. This includes core HR processes and programs, employee onboarding, employee relations and employee development of. This role will partner with Regional HRVP to drive all areas of HR generalist programs, including total compensating, talent review and succession planning, training, organizational development and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operates as a business partner to the Water Infrastructure leadership team providing both organizational consulting and individual coaching.
- Provides senior HR generalist support for the following core processes and programs within Human Resources for his/her region:
- Employee Onboarding / Employee Experience
- Compensation and Benefits
- Performance Management / Employee Relations
- Learning and Development
- Succession Planning / Talent Review
- Organizational Communication
- Compliance.
- Acts as a point of contact for HR needs for employees and managers in partnership with the Southwest HR team.
- Partners on training activities with the Business Unit and regional L&D Manager.
- Takes ownership for accuracy of HR data. Analyzes data and reviews trends and areas of focus with the Renewable Energy leadership team.
- Effectively addresses employee relations issues in partnership with Legal and HR team.
- Co-leads the total compensation process in the Region and drives the process management of this program for the Business Unit.
- Partners with managers to assist with their personal development, as well as team development and effectiveness.
- Leverages HR Specialist to assist with HR process and administration in support of overall HR agenda and business needs; takes an active role in the development of the HR team in partnership with the VP HR.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of HR experience, preferably with some experience in technical/engineering-based organizations.
- Regional and/or multi-site HR Generalist experience supporting dedicated client group preferred.
- Solid depth in several core areas of HR (e.g. compensation/benefits, employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, organizational development, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with employees and managers at all levels including executives.
- Ability to influence and drive organizational change with a track record of past successes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Solid platform skills.

- 10+ years of managing both large and small teams
- Strong work ethic and desire to work in a team environment.
