Description
Location: Columbia, SC
- Oversees the development and implementation of key product/process enhancements, additional product lines and services in response to market demands. Leads/directs projects such as product design/evaluation and development.
- Effectively manages processes and projects through effective communications with other departments including product development, provider relations, marketing, compliance, etc. Establishes and maintains relationships with both internal and external customers.
- Assists Sales leadership with lead development, prospecting, and marketing plans for new client acquisition. Provides subject matter expertise for underwriting, proposal completion and finalist presentations to prospective clients.
- Assists VP of Network Contracting and Reimbursement and staff in managing the development and maintenance of dental provider network, fee schedules and contracting arrangements through contract negotiations, relationship development/management, and servicing. Supervises and assists the contractual negotiations and renewals and ensures new and existing provider contract reimbursement levels meet defined cost of care standards. Acts as subject matter expert in area of provider network development (growth, retention, and pricing) and contracting arrangements/fee schedules.
- Researches, identifies, and maintains in-depth knowledge of national/regional/local competitors, dental market intelligence, dental delivery systems, and insurance industry trends.
- Leads and directs staff activities while collaborating with sales team. Oversees the training, development, ongoing communication, and evaluation of sales efforts. Develops marketing operating budget in conjunction with the marketing team.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's
Required Work Experience:
- 8 years' experience as follows: Ancillary Sales, Underwriting and/or Provider network development and contracting experience to include the contracting process along with provider reimbursement methods. Four of the eight years must have been in management or formal leadership role or equivalent military experience in grade E4 or above.
