Job Summary
JOB DUTIES/Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise for advanced process control, operator training simulator, data remote monitoring tool, Digital Solutions in general and IIOT.
- Interface with clients, supporting these clients and optimizing their solutions.
- Developing and deploy monitoring tools, including remote data monitoring tools.
- Help develop tools for analyzing and monitoring the performance of current operating units.
- Develop and maintain dynamic simulation environments for operator training.
- Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field required.
- Master’s Degree in a related field a plus.
- No experience required as long as Bachelor’s Degree is held.
- 5+ years of experience in Refining or Petrochemical Licensing and/or Catalyst Technology a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent Computer Skills particularly in Excel and Simulation programs (especially PRO II/Aspen).
- Experience in computer programming, particularly C++ and Python.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficient in simulation software, computer programming, and modern DCS system programming.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time.
- Petroleum Refining experience in the areas of Catalyst performance modeling and Unit simulations.
QHSE REQUIREMENTS

- Maintain awareness, proactively participate and support all Axens policies for quality management
- Assist in the continual improvement of an effective Integrated Management System complying with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015
- Assist in achieving Site, Department, Regional and Global Quality Management Program goals and objectives.
Health and Safety:

- Report any and all health and safety incidents to your manager
- Maintain awareness, proactively participate and support all Axens policies and objectives regarding health and safety
- Assist in the continual improvement of an effective Integrated Management System complying with the requirements of ISO 45001:2018
- Assist in achieving Site, Departmental, Regional and Global Health and Safety goals and objectives
Environmental:
- Take responsibility for the sustainability of Axens and protecting the environment
- Report any and all environmental concerns or incidents to your manager
- Maintain awareness, proactively participate and support all Axens policies regarding environmental protection
- Assist in the continual improvement of an effective Integrated Management System complying with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015
- Assist in achieving Site, Departmental, Regional and Global Environmental Management Program goals and objectives
