Description
Develop Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL) and feature list, integrate ALDL into embedded Telematics Communication Platform (TCP), and validate and release TCP features including Customer Calling, Global Positioning System (GPS), diagnostics, and 5G Wi-Fi, in conventional ICE passenger vehicle and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) for U.S. and global markets, using Vehicle Spy, Reconfigurable Telltale (RTT), and Vector CANoe tools, and neoFIRE 2 hardware. Evaluate customer-facing TCP feature issues such as no WI-FI connection and no two-way audio for emergency calls. Analyze passenger vehicle TCP system and subsystem requirements using IBM Rational DOORS Next Generation (DNG) and IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC). Collaborate with Network Architects, Software Engineers, and Product Managers to define passenger vehicle 5G connectivity wireless communication in customer owned vehicles in the field. Review Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) using IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC). Review and release Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to suppliers and evaluate cost impact for software changes to Telematics Communication Platform (TCP).
Additional Description
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. Two (2) years of experience as Engineer or related role. Must also have experience with: analyzing passenger vehicle TCP system and subsystem requirements using IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC), and validating or releasing software solutions for TCP features including Customer Calling, Global Positioning System (GPS), and 5G Wi-Fi, or related.
