Dental Receptionist

We are a busy private practice in Brentwood, TN looking to hire a personable Dental Receptionist/patient coordinator to ensure that dental patients’ appointments are appropriately scheduled, rescheduled, or canceled, depending on the needs of the patients. The front office assistant's responsibilities include entering patient information into our data system, answering patients’ questions, and arranging referrals to other dental specialists. You should also be able to prepare billing statements.

To be successful as a Dental Receptionist/patient coordinator, you should be able to organize and maintain patient waiting areas as well as front-desk areas. Ultimately, a top-performing Dental Receptionist will perform all duties in a manner that ensures the efficient running of the dental practice.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
• Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed.
• Assisting patients to fill out information and consent forms.
• Ensuring schedule is filled and productive for the dental staff.
• Verifying patient insurance and filing claims
• Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed.
• Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, responding to emails/text messages, photocopying, filing, and faxing.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience working in a dental office (MINIMUM 1 YEAR REQUIRED)
• Sound knowledge of dental terminology.
• Proficient in dental practice management software (Open Dental).
• Working knowledge of general administrative practices.
• Good telephone etiquette.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS

Dental experience a must! Those without dental experience need not apply. Must have extensive dental insurance and patient billing knowledge. Also must have dental scheduling and treatment planning experience.

A background check will be required and possible drug screening.

Monday-Thursday 7:30-4:30

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
