Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. As a Dental Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support in a dental office setting. Your attention to detail and excellent communication skills will contribute to the smooth operation of our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our appointment scheduling system
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with insurance claims processing
- Collect and record patient information, including medical history and personal details
- Maintain accurate and organized patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing and financial transactions, including processing payments and providing cost estimates to patients
- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed
- Manage the front desk area, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Provide general administrative support to the dental team
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental practice is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix) is highly desirable
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, staff, and external contacts
- Knowledge of medical administrative procedures and understanding of insurance processes
