SalaryPosition Purpose
This position performs a wide range of receptionist duties as initial representative of the Community Dental Center, who prepares and maintains patient records and appointments. Position may require working at either campus - Saint Francis or Mt Sinai Rehab Hospital.
What you will do
Confirms patient appointments, retrieves and files patient records, prepares and maintains daily schedule, answers and screens heavy volume phone calls
Responsible for taking payments, assists in billing and oversees patient reception area.
Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits
Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are accurate
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, additional clerical training preferred
Minimum one-year clerical experience in a dental office setting
Medical terminology skills
Excellent customer service, verbal communication and interpersonal skills required
