Dental Hygienist

Brand new state of the art dental practice located in West Loop is looking for a hygienist for 15-20 hours a week with the potential for full-time within the next 6 months. We are a full-service privately-owned practice providing both general and aesthetic dentistry including Invisalign. We currently have 2 full time hygienists and would like to add a 3rd to help support our growing practice. New grads are welcome!

We are looking for a hygienist who is organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused. Someone who is personable and focused on patient care.

Your job duties include:

• Proficient in performing dental hygiene procedures, including non-surgical periodontal treatment
• Administers prophylactic treatment by scaling and polishing
• Performs proper diagnostic x-rays to aid in diagnosis of decay and disease
• Administers fluoride treatment
• Proper documentation of existing restorations, notable areas of possible decay and disease, periodontal charting, and patient chief concerns
• Instructs patients in proper oral hygiene techniques and provides relevant educational information on their oral health
• Practices universal precautions, sterilization, and infection control procedures.

Requirements:

• Have an active dental hygiene license, in good standing, with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Hold current CPR (BLS) certification
• Experienced in digital radiography

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with Dentrix Ascend
• Licensed in local anesthesia

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
