We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team on all Mondays. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include performing dental cleanings, conducting oral exams, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
```Duties:```
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Conduct comprehensive oral exams to assess patients' oral health
- Take and develop dental x-rays and other diagnostic images
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized recommendations for at-home care
- Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants to protect teeth
- Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical documentation systems (e.g., Epic)
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
```Qualifications:```
- Valid state dental Hygiene License
- Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
- Proficiency in imaging (x-rays)
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and terminology
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of human anatomy related to the oral cavity
