Dental Hygienist (Pediatric)

Growing Smiles Pediatric Dental office is looking for a Dental Hygienist to add to our team! If you love fighting sugar bugs, teaching kids about good choices, and appreciates the chaos and fun that goes along with being a kid, then we want to hear from you!

Our pediatric dentists are board certified and affiliated with Lurie Children’s Hospital. We provide the highest quality and most compassionate dental care to our patients from infancy through adolescence, including those with special healthcare needs. As a Dental Hygienist you will be an essential member of the patient care team! Your role will be vitally important to keeping our practice running smoothly and maintaining our valued patients in the highest level of dental health.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Experienced & New Grads Welcome to Apply.
• Current dental hygiene license in Illinois.
• CPR Certified.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency in using Eaglesoft, or similar dental practice management software systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health care practices.
• Proficiency with patient dental screening and medical history documentation.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills to ensure accurate notes in patient chart.
• Greet young patients and their families, helping them feel at ease and explaining dental procedures in an approachable manner.
• Commitment to providing superior patient care and service with a positive attitude.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Educate parents on proper oral hygiene practices and provide guidance on dental care for children.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Perform dental hygiene procedures, including digital x-rays, cleanings, scaling, polishing, oral cancer screenings, application of sealants, SDF and fluoride varnish.

Pay: From $40.00 per hour
