SalaryWe are seeking a skilled Dental Specialist to join our team. As a Dental Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks related to dental coding, medical records, and billing. Your expertise in DRG, ICD-10 coding systems, and medical terminology will be essential in ensuring accurate and efficient documentation and billing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze dental records to assign appropriate DRG and ICD-10 codes
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with dental providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Process dental claims for billing purposes
- Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any issues or denials
- Provide support in medical collections as needed
Skills:
- Proficient in DRG and ICD-10 coding systems
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and practices
- Familiarity with medical records management
- Experience in Dental Billing and collections
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding and documentation
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in dental coding is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in ICD-9 coding is preferred but not required
