Progressive, high-quality dental practice, Grace Dental, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist who is excited for growth potential and leadership advancement with our practice! This role will excel in a fast-paced environment managing patient treatment planning for our practice while providing world-class customer services to our patients.

Compensation: $25-40/hr depending on experience

Full-Time | Monday – Friday | 7:30am – 5:00pm | Rotating Saturday
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow up on outstanding claims and balances
- Collaborate with dental providers to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies
- Establish a patient payment plan and ensure patients are timely and in good standing
- Follow up, monitor, and adjust as needed to patient accounts
- Process and file insurance claims
- Monitor claims status
- Contact insurance companies when necessary
- Bill claims using dental software or submitting Online
- Answer phone calls from patients, insurance representatives and dental providers
- Enter and update data, including patient information, insurance information, and other information
- Review and verify accuracy of patient demographic and insurance information
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials
- Resolve billing discrepancies and issues
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Assist with coding and documentation requirements
- Collection of past due insurance and patient balances
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries
Experience:
- Proficient in Dentrix
- Previous experience working in a dental office is required
- Strong understanding of dental insurance plans and terminology
- Proven success in achieving and maintaining a healthy AR
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling insurance claims
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Deep understanding of the full revenue cycle
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts available Mon-Sat.
- Must be available Saturday (1-2 Saturdays/month).
