Ar Billing Specialist

Accounts Receivable & Payable/Billing Specialist

Children’s Dental is seeking a billing and finance specialist who is able to do a range of A/R, or A/P and billing tasks to support the accounting team which may include:

• Enter Checks
• Submit Claims
• Prepare Deposits
• Write and track checks
• Utilize QuickBooks
• Follow up on customer billing questions
• Work closely with the Billing Specialist to reconcile accounts in Open Dental according to CDS policy.
• Process and record credit card bills
• Organize and pay bills
• Organize and process payroll
• Oversee printing statements
• Maintain payment plans
• Receive donations, prepare thank-you letters, maintain accurate records.
• Support the grant team as needed
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Coordinate with Accounts Payable to ensure that finances are in order and record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
• Maintain HIPAA and PCI compliance
• Prepare for Annual Agency Audit
• General office support including but not limited to organization, cleaning, and remaining flexible in a changing and fast paced environment.

Qualifications Sought:

• 1+ years of Accounts Receivable or Billing experience
• High school diploma required college degree preferred
• Must have strong work ethic
• Must be well organized and a self-starter
• Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
• Detail oriented and reliable
• Proficient in Microsoft and Office Suite
• Ability to type 50 wpm
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact with employees and patient families in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Experience with QuickBooks
• Leadership skills a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
