Premise offers a wide range of dynamic, purpose-driven career opportunities. We are currently looking for a Data Integration Developmment Manager to join our team remotely. 
About the role: The Data Integration Development Manager oversees the Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) process, ensuring efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading operations. Responsible for managing a team, designing ETL workflows, and optimizing Data Integration processes to maintain data accuracy and timeliness, the Data Integration Development Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the organization’s data-driven decision-making initiatives.
Essential Functions:  
  • Works under direction of the Data Stewardship Director
  • Manage, support, and maintain the data producer standards and procedures 
  • Leads a team of Data Integration developers charged with working with data producers to extract data from source systems
  • Manages team of Data Integration developers, including team discipline, processes, work management, and people management processes. 
  • Adheres to demand management process, including proactive communication of team capacity, input of demands, and effort estimation.
  • Manages team incident and break-fix work queues.
  • Demonstrates team health and progress via automated dashboards/reports.
  • Manages team technical debt, communicating and mitigating associated risk.
  • Serves as demand manager, and at times, project manager for departmental demands on behalf of the team. 
  • Collaborates with other data and Data Integration leaders on strategic group activities.
  • Serves as escalation path for Data Integration Development team and other department and organization leaders.
  • Fosters collaborative and productive data source relationships, including technical, system, and data owners.
  • Manages team working on several complex ETL projects at the same time, providing clear and concise status updates to leaders, exercising appropriate escalation and communication of risks and issues.
  • Focus on maintaining and enhancing automation, error prevention and detection within ETL dataflows.
  • Manage team to provide extensive, innovative, supportable, and complete solution options to meet business needs.
  • Participates in the design and implementation of data quality measures within ETL processes.
  • Adheres to Data Governance policies and standards and communicates non-adherence where appropriate.
  • Identifies gaps between the current state and future state data models and creates data remediation plans. 
  • Manages the execution of extraction and delivery of data to cloud storage with greater speed, scale, reliability, consistency, governance, supportability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Collaborates with data management teams to identify recommended data sourcing options to meet each use cases’ business requirement document.  Makes recommendations on appropriate data source based upon knowledge of data source, system, workflow, process, and integrity. 
  • Manages data producer loading schedule of data provided to data cloud storage, for all environments.
  • Follows processes and governances, such as data change control, enterprise sharing governance, privacy and security policy, and others as appropriate.  
Job Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical studies or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Experience delivering modern data pipeline techniques that are fast and rapidly reconfigurable, and can deliver to any location including a cloud data platform
  • 4+ years of experience in systems integration and support; preferably in the healthcare industry
  • 3+ years experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodology preferred
  • 3+ years experience with Jira/Confluence preferred
  • 3+ years experience as Data Integration developer preferred
  • 3+ years experience working with systems business, technical, and data owners
  • 2+ years previous experience of developing and leading Data Integration teams

  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment

For individuals living in California, Colorado, Washington; as well as, for individuals living in or reporting to New York State only, Premise Health is required to include  an estimate of the salary and benefits for this role. While a number of factors influence salary, our estimated California, Colorado, Washington and New York State compensation is $100,000 - $120,000 with eligible bonus opportunity.
