JOB SUMMARY
This is responsible work in meeting utility customers and responding to their needs for service. Incumbent works within existing department rules and regulations under the general supervision of the Customer Service Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY)
Processes applications, terminations, hydrant meter requests, adjustments, and other assigned tasks.
Receives concerns/requests and resolves for customers. Informs supervisor regarding areas of concern. Maintains reports of work performed.
Checks phone messages and follows up with customer concerns.
Performs various clerical activities such as filing, researching records/accounts, sorting mail, scanning, answering telephone.
Assist when needed for the processing of utility bill payments in addition to other City revenues through central cashiering.
Assist collections/billing when needed.
Performs related work as required.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

- Ability to research customer issues/concerns.
- Ability to give directions and instruct others in completing assignments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School graduate or equivalent diploma is required plus two years of Customer Service experience or government related service. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Possession of a valid Florida Operator's license with acceptable driving record.
During occasions of local emergencies this position may be required to report to perform emergency tasks, which may result in extended work hours as well as extended periods of time away from family members. The Incident Commander and the employee's department Head will make the determination as to who will be required to work.

- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word including those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discrimination in sound.
- Sitting: Requires some sedentary work.
- Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time on a daily basis.
- Kneeling: Bending legs at knee to come to a rest on knee or knees.
- Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. Occurs to a considerable degree and requires full motion of the lower extremities and back muscles.

- Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks.
