Customer Service & Shipping Specialist - Cypress, CA
As the Cypress Customer Service and Shipping Specialist, you will be the first point-of- contact for various customer inquiries coming through our CA location. Learning about the products and services we offer will be crucial in providing customers with suggestions and quotes that will accurately meet their needs. You’ll be the voice of our California facility, which will entail heavy customer interaction via phone and email as well as the occasional in-person stop in. You’ll be expected to have excellent communication skills, along with a strong desire to create a positive customer experience within every interaction. Smooth transactions are ensured by following customer requests through the various stages of the ordering process. You will be responsible for quoting, processing, packing, and shipping all orders sent out of the Cypress location, as well as maintaining the onsite inventory.
This position is full-time, first shift – overtime may occasionally be required, depending on customer needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Answering customer inquiries regarding products and services
• Quoting parts, accessories, training, and service
• Processing, packing, and shipping received purchase orders in a timely manner
• Following up with the customer and/or sales rep on open quotes
• Maintaining accurate inventory – including forecasting, ordering & receiving
• Keeping detailed records in our customer tracking system
• Communicating effectively with the area sales rep, other team members, and distributors • Working closely with Headquarters to support and advertise ongoing promotions, and new item launches.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, but will consider a combination of education and experience
• Must have exceptional and effective communication skills
• Must have heightened sense of urgency in communicating customer offerings and resolving issues
• Must have strong computer skills and advanced working knowledge of MS Office
• Must be well organized and have attention to detail in both accuracy and content
• Must have the ability to maintain productivity while balancing multiple priorities
• Warehouse experience in shipping and packing is preferred
• Inventory control and forecasting experience is preferred
• Technical aptitude and suggestive selling ability is a plus
