About the Role:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing excellent Customer Service to both internal and external clients. This role plays a vital part in ensuring customer satisfaction and building positive relationships with the District. You will perform a variety of administrative and technical duties related to Customer Service, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Answer customer inquiries: This includes responding to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and professionally. You will actively listen to understand customer needs and concerns, and provide accurate and helpful information about District programs, services, and policies.
- Process payments: You will be responsible for processing various forms of payment, such as cash, checks, and credit cards, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial regulations.
- Maintain customer account records: This involves updating and maintaining customer information in a secure and efficient manner. You will be responsible for creating new accounts, correcting errors, and ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform clerical tasks: This includes tasks such as filing documents, scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and managing correspondence. You will be detail-oriented and organized to ensure accuracy and efficiency in your work.
- Other duties as assigned: You may be assigned additional duties as needed, such as data entry, assisting with special projects, or providing support to other team members.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and identify solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
