General Purpose
The Office Customer Service Associate provides customer-friendly service to our valuable customers by delivering excellent, prompt, professional service to Adams’ customers, managers, vendors and employees.
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Reports to: Office Manager
Job Description
- Ensure that customers receive the best Customer Service by providing friendly, polite, and knowledgeable service
- Greet customers personally and thank them appreciatively for shopping at Adams
- Answer phones
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Post outgoing mail
- Process store transfers
- Audit & setup registers
- Count cash & log daily receipts
- Prepare and make bank deposits
- Ensure all office equipment: fax, mail machine and copier are all in good working order
- Know the register to help if there’s a problem
- If assigned, count the safe every day and make sure it proves
- If assigned, training
- If assigned, data entry
- If assigned, handles deliveries
- If assigned, work in other departments
Physical Requirements
- Bend, squat and stand
- Use fingers for data entry
- Consistently lift up to 25 lbs.
- Sit or stand for long periods of time
- Can see and hear
- Good verbal communication skills
- Maintain an organized, clean work space
Mental/Reasoning Requirements
- Read & write
- Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook
- Math and calculator skills
- Personable & friendly to customers & staff
- Organizational skills
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and managers
