Description:
We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant, to support the Cost Accounting team at our Arizona manufacturing plant.
This individual will be responsible for supporting cost accounting Sr Manager in the area of manufacturing variance & cost analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness of inventory valuation.
This role is highly cross-functional and requires collaboration and significant partnership with a wide variety of teams across the business including IT, operations, logistics, manufacturing and purchasing.
The Role:
• Standard Cost set up in SAP. evaluate operational cost and review planned vs actual costs to identify variances.
• Support Purchase Price Variance & production variance analysis.
• Partner with operations in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain to understand products costs and variance drivers.
• Ensure updates and related supporting documentation are prepared in compliance with Company's policies and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Partner closely with key internal stakeholders (i.e., PLM, supply chain, logistics, production, FP&A, IT etc.) to streamline workflows.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• Working knowledge of SAP or related manufacturing systems
• Strong Excel skills with ability to work with large volume data
• Minimum 2 years in a cost accounting role preferable in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills & detail oriented.
• Ability to build partnerships and work in a collaborative environment.
• Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs.

This role requires cost accounting in detail, which means understanding value add of inventory from raw material, WIP, to finished goods.
