KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establish integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Subject matter expert for cost and inventory accounting as well as internal management reporting.
- Complete month-end closing procedures relating to inventory and other accounting cycles as assigned.
- Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations, internal and external cost models, SKU profitability analysis and other reporting as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional Operations groups to provide robust cost estimates, monthly KPI's and other process improvements to drive the growth of the business.
- Analyze financial and operational data and turn the associated trends into invaluable insights to impact business decisions.
- Prepare, document and/or update existing SOPs on inventory and costing processes to ensure SOX compliance as well as internal control best practices.
- Work with auditors by providing necessary/requested support to facilitate financial and compliance audits.
- Ad Hoc analysis and reporting
- Maintain a strong partnership with management, identifying cost-saving opportunities, process improvements and automation.
- Provide financial, operational, and cost analysis support for management.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly Audit Committee materials.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work indoors in an office setting.
- Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy, and fax machine requiring continuous and repetitive arm, hand, and eye movement.
- Occasional travel to/from meetings and to various locations
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory valuations, cost modelling and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ("GAAP").
- Self-starter with a strong desire to drive the continuous improvement of our Cost Accounting function.
- Strong financial analysis skills
- Ability to prepare financial reports and give recommendations based on available data.
- Superior knowledge of financial reporting software tools and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to perform risk and internal control assessments.
- In-depth knowledge of financial guidelines and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective communication, including writing, speaking and active listening.
- Collaboration and teamwork
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience (inventory/Cost Accounting required)
- CPA (preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and data management skills
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work autonomously while providing effective communication to leadership.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills and superior accounting skills
- Highly responsive and reliable

- 21+ and currently residing in the US.
