Cost Accountant

The Atlantic Group has partnered with a reputable biotech company in Boston looking for a talented Cost Accountant to join their team!
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Conduct cost analyses for pharmaceutical commercial products, particularly in relation to inventory valuation and cost of goods.
* Collaborate across departments to monitor inventory costing assumptions, production volumes, and delivery cycles.
* Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives.
* Prepare journal entries to support month-end financial close activities.
* Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
* Assess SOX compliance for respective areas and assist in implementing improvements to current controls.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent qualification.
* 2 years of experience in a corporate finance/accounting department, public accounting firm, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Understanding of accounting principles, specifically in the context of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
* Proficiency in Excel and experience with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems.
* Strong communication and organizational skills, with a commitment to prompt and informative stakeholder interaction.
* Ability to identify and effectively escalate issues.
* Demonstrated ability to multitask in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
