Corporate Controller

Clayton Services is searching for a Corporate Controller to join a thriving company in Bellaire, Texas. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for ensure financial performance while supporting the business operations and overall growth by taking responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, contracting, marketing, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company's financial strategy.
Job Type: Direct-Hire
Pay Rate: $150,000 - $170,000/annually

Corporate Controller Responsibilities:

• Provide overall leadership and management while participating in company-wide strategic and operational planning.
• Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same.
• Lead the financial management activities including: financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, revenue cycle management, accounts payable/receivable management, financial and regulatory reporting.
• Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities of the organization.
• Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments and evaluate and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives.
• Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
• Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement.
• Review contract terms and conditions, subcontracts, purchase orders. Understanding of contractual requirements as it pertains to insurance, billing and other items.
• Oversee HR operations by coordinating with external service providers (ex: payroll, benefits, recruitment) and internal staff responsible for other aspects of HR.
• Monitor business performance with tracking tools, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for earnings calls, management team, and rest of company.
• Manage finance personnel and oversee financial IT systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities.

Corporate Controller Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• MBA, Master's, or other applicable graduate-level education preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or similar credentials is a plus.
• Minimum 6-10 years of experience, with at least 5 years of experience in an executive leadership role.
