Copywriter Pay Details:
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $100,000 to $125,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations. The Copywriter is responsible for crafting compelling copy that brings the ocV!BE brand to life. This role works closely with the Art Director, Graphic Designers, and other creative professionals to develop creative concepts and campaigns that tell a story and resonate with our audience. The Copywriter is responsible for writing copy for various mediums: print, digital, video, social media, email, and experiential activations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute creative concepts and campaigns that tell a story and resonate with our audience
- Write compelling copy for various mediums, including print, digital, social media, email, and experiential activations
- Work closely with the Art Director, Graphic Designers, and other creative professionals to ensure that copy and visuals work together seamlessly
- Understand the target audience and develop copy that speaks directly to them
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop creative solutions that meet their objectives
- Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and share this knowledge with the team
Skills
- 5+ years of experience in a similar generalist role (in-house creative team or agency preferred)
- Experience with SEO and writing for digital platforms
- Strong portfolio that showcases a range of writing samples and conceptual work
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write in a variety of styles and voices
- Understanding of branding and the ability to write copy that aligns with brand guidelines
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Passion for storytelling and the ability to bring ideas to life through words
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
