Foreman/Project Engineer
We are looking for a competent Construction Foreman/Project Engineer to join our team! The duties include project planning, scheduling, material take-offs and job tracking for a General Contractor remodeling apartment units and ADU projects. Must have excellent experience and knowledge in construction operations, outstanding leadership, and the ability to make decisions in complex situations. Plan, implement and manage the construction schedule in accordance with project deadlines and budget. Oversee the daily operations, schedule subcontractors, crews and ensure the quality of work performance, ascertain all adhere to safety regulations. This is a high energy, fast pace environment that requires an extremely detailed-oriented and efficient individual with strong organizational skills, time management, and an excellent multi-tasker that is fluent in both Spanish and English is preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee, schedule, and arrange crew work on a daily basis, cooperating with other team members as necessary
- Review all project activities, work equipment, and sites every day to make sure everything is performed to company standards as well as to the latest OSHA regulations and standards
- Work with subs, vendors, client, and HBB team to ensure all site and crew activities are in sync
- Delegate jobs to crew members as determined by their capabilities and the general requirements of specific work projects and site parameters
- Meet with managers/supervisors and necessary personnel as required in order to fully resolve conflicts, complications, and other issues according to company and client standards/requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Five years experience in supervisory/foreman position managing and overseeing construction projects
- Able to give direction and make decisions related to finances, the company’s reputation, and crew members
- Able to read drawings, plans, and blueprints
- Able to work in high-stress conditions and quickly changing environments
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Able to communicate and report effectively
- Strong computer experience, word, excel, google (all work must be done on an Ipad)
- Good physical condition and stamina, able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Reliable transportation
Compensation:
- $85,000 - $104,000 yearly annual salary
- 401k plan after 1 year w/ up to 4% Employer match
- 7 holidays, 9 sick days after 90 days
- 1 week vacation after 1 year employment
