Construction General Laborer Foreman/Carpenter

Function: Under direct supervision, takes responsibility for maintaining the smooth operation of various labor-intensive projects, utilizing experience and leadership skills to guide the team and contribute to the successful completion of tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Communication:
  • Identify and address any issues, delays, or obstacles that may arise during the day-to-day process and relay them to Superintendent or Project Manager (PM)
  • Communicanto liaison between subcontractors, superintendents, PM's, and Sita Assistants.
  • Lead Site Assistants with daily duties and schedules once the Superintendent assigns tasks
• Perform a wide range of manual tasks, including but not limited to digging, lifting, carrying, moving materials, site protection, and using hand tools as required by the project
  • Operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, hammers, Sawzall, Skilsaw, and a variety of other equipment
• Lift heavy loads up to 80 lbs. and navigate construction job site terrain
• Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary
• Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site
• Clean and prepare sites, and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials
• Project errands, including pick-up and drop off tools and materials
• Provide labor support as needed for specialty crew
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate the delivery and distribution of construction materials, tools, and equipment as needed
• Equipment Operation:
  • Maintain rental equipment, including use of skid-steer and generators
• Ability to translate as needed on site
• Layout materials for installation on small projects
• Conduct take-offs and make materials list

Qualification Requirements

• Must have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a background check
• Ability to adapt to changing tasks and responsibilities as required by the project.
• Familiarity with operating basic construction equipment and tools
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to provide guidance, direction, and support to less experienced team members
• 7 years of construction industry experience (preferred) will train the right person
• Strong understanding of the building process
• Capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely
• Attention to detail and high-quality standards
• Organizational skills
• Self-motivated problem solver
• Familiar with industry safety standards
• Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures

Bilingual in English and Spanish

Compensation: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
