Job Summary
The College of Health Sciences (CHS) is looking for a Communications Specialist who will take the lead on collaborative marketing strategies using different media platforms. You will report directly to the Office Manager.
Responsibilities*
- Coordinate annual promotion campaigns
- Create marketing content for different platforms (web, social media, print, advertising, billboards, videos, news stories, commercials, CRM/Target X)
- Maintain websites, catalog, newsletters, handbooks and social media accounts
- Interact with community partners
- Facilitate information sessions
- Create presentations to increase programs marketability and visibility
- Serve on committees
- Organize CHS events
- Take photos and videos for events

Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or relevant field.
- Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or related field that is directly relevant to the job duties of this position.
- Familiarity with relevant Social Media platforms, along with demonstrated best practices in creating visual content.
- Working knowledge of WordPress, and other content management systems.
Work Schedule
A consistent hybrid work schedule (some days on campus, some days working remotely) is available for this position at this time. However, it is subject to change based on the responsibilities of the position and the needs of the department.
