The Role - Internal Communications Specialist
The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for strategizing and driving cohesive messaging/storytelling to the EOS Worldwide team. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the Leadership Team, department heads, and program leads are fully supported with their communications messaging and outreach. The role is both strategic and hands-on. This person will serve as a leader and a contributor in providing guidance to the organization in creating and implementing effective communication initiatives aligned with our Core Values and Vision. This person should have a passion for internal/employee communications as a key culture-building tool to help boost engagement and belonging.
This position will report directly to the HR Director.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop messages and communication strategies designed to disseminate company information and drive engagement among team members across the organization
- Assist the HR team with drafting organizational announcements, semi-monthly employee newsletters, change management communications, training opportunities and other strategic projects
- Expertise in change management to effectively convey structural changes or organizational pivots
- Create, edit, and review Internal Communications for clarity, style, and authentic brand voice
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to ensure clarity, consistency, and correctness across the organization for internal audiences
- Develop and oversee processes for content creation, stakeholder review, and distribution through internal channels
- Work with communication colleagues to develop relevant stories and content
- Build and foster collaborative relationships with other departments within the organization to stay informed and abreast of new initiatives, products, and services
- Ensure alignment with external messaging and stakeholders when appropriate
- Support of culture-building and internal training activities, both in-person and remote
- Measure the success of communications and campaigns and tailor future outreach based on results

- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or public relations
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Experience with content creation and delivery, including email, newsletters, videos, and presentations
- Knowledge of best practices for Internal Communications, analytics, procedures, etc.
- Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and often provide quick turnaround
- Experience working in a company running on EOS is a plus
- Experience in a remote working environment
- Experience working for an entrepreneurial organization
- Experience with crisis communications is a plus
- Experience building out communications intranet
Location: Work from home position with occasional work travel and onsite collaborative meetings as needed/SE Michigan
Job Type: Full-time, Exempt
Compensation Range: $80,000- $92,500 base salary commensurate with experience, plus the potential for a performance-based bonus in addition to health, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance, 401k match, tech stipend, summer flextime, flexible PTO and more.
